Pack ahead
Start packing at least 2 weeks in advance of your move, but remember to keep essentials aside until the removal date.
Listing and labeling
From the minute you start packing make a list of what is in each box, this makes things simple for you when unpacking. An idea is to label your boxes in number sequence. Also consider labeling your boxes with the room or floor in the house they are to be delivered. Remember to mark boxes FRAGILE if there are such items inside.
Packing boxes
Don't overfill your boxes, remember they have to be lifted also if they are overfilled the boxes may break.
Don't under-fill your boxes as when stacked they may collapse if other boxes are placed on top.
Ensure you carefully wrap all items which are to be placed into boxes or containers.
If using Newspaper be aware that the print may rub off.
Although we are happy to collect black bags it is advisable to use boxes as bags can be torn and do not stack well.
Try to use suitcases to pack clothes etc.
We advise not to place heavy or fragile items in drawers or cupboards as during transport they could get damaged as well as damaging the item of furniture.
Remember to pack your kettle last!
